I'm not positive that ALL red tides are phosphorescent at night, but some definitely are. It depends on the type of organisms that are involved. Apparently the kind we get in Cali are not toxic, though the Florida ones often are. It's all so very interesting, and I want to see it for myself! Good thing Buffy has Spike to ferret out the cool nighttime goings on.
