Pens and keyboards down please, the Halloween Challenge is now CLOSED. The ghost has finally passed over and won't be bothering our property again. Now nice people can move in and do something about that dusty library and that whiffy smell in the cellar.

Big thank yous to everyone who took part and made this event so successful! In our initial discussions we thought perhaps asking you all to bust 30 prompts was asking a lot, but in the end fag enders managed to bust a total of 56!

Well done to [livejournal.com profile] spuffy_luvr, your 12 busts win you the title of [livejournal.com profile] sb_fag_ends Top Ghostbuster!

Prizes for everyone will be distributed in the next couple of days.

Fic: Dead Man Blues

Title: Dead Man Blues
Creator: annapurna_2
Rating: G
Setting: Season 5
Word count: 981
Prompt: Play Me Them Ragtime Boos
A/N: Work prevented me from finishing this before the prompt went up for grabs again, so it won’t count. (Plus the challenge is now officially closed.) But it’s still Halloween here where I am, so thought I would go ahead and post it. And please forgive. I know I’m taking huge liberties in redefining “ragtime.” Heh. (Inspired by the Ghostbusters episode that gave us this prompt title.)

Participants in the Halloween challenge will be hearing from us in due course, but what about the comm as a whole? What did we get for beating the ghost? Well, the layout's back to normal, which is a relief, but also, I think we'll realise, in true children's-story fashion, our biggest Halloween treat of all were all the shiny things we found to enjoy. And so, in a rather concrete representation of that, behold the ghost transformed...

Okay, everyone. Here are your first set of prompts for November. My fellow mods assure me these are Guns n Roses song titles (I don't have the least idea myself, but I trust them absolutely)

1) Dust N Bones

2) Right Next Door to Hell

3) Paradise City

4) Welcome to the Jungle

5) Down on the Farm
